Police launch manhunt after mosque killing

Police in Gauteng has
launched a manhunt for two suspects after a man was shot and killed outside a
mosque in Fordsburg on Tuesday night.

The shooting took place in the parking lot of the Mayfair Jummah Masjid, west of the Johannesburg CBD.
Gauteng Police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini says it was after the evening prayers.
"[He] was attacked by two men, he was shot at. He died at the scene," says Dlamini.
He adds a member of the public was also shot and wounded and taken to hospital for further medical care.
Dlamini says police cannot at this stage release the nationality of the suspects.
The police have opened a case of murder and attempted murder.
