Police Minister assures state capture is being investigated

The police minister says any and every allegation of corruption and state capture is being investigated.

"There's going to be bombs that are going to come in relation to this issue of corruption."
Those are the comments by the Minister of Police Fikile Mbalula who addressed reporters on Wednesday.
He assured every allegation of corruption and state capture is being investigated insisting "there are no holy cows" when it comes to fighting graft.
His remarks follow a decision by the Asset Forfeiture Unit to freeze the assets of consultancy McKinsey and Gupta-linked to Trillian to a value of R1.6 billion.
It relates to an investigation into the two companies' dealings with Eskom.
News agency Reuters meanwhile reports the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission is trying to determine whether companies SAP, McKinsey or KPMG breached the Companies Act.
The Hawks has also confirmed the so-called Vrede Dairy Farm Project - allegedly used to funnel money for the Gupta family's wedding at Sun City - forms part of its investigations.
Mbalula has however called on South Africans to give law enforcement agencies the space to conduct their investigations without fear or favour.
"If we say people are doing corruption we've got to fight corruption, but police don't function by way of cameras," says Mbalula. "That is why I say it is an un-televised revolution that is coming."
