Police probe assault at Mpumalanga police station
Police in Mpumalanga are investigating the assault of a man at the White River police station.
A video went viral on social media where a group of men were fighting with another man on Sunday morning.
Mpumalanga police have described the conduct of the people involved in the altercation as unacceptable.
The man who appears in the video being pressed down to the ground has also been urged to register a criminal case.
Ehlanzeni district commissioner Dianah Mashele has sent two senior police officials to probe the conduct of the police who were on duty at the time of the incident.
A criminal case of malicious damage to property and crimen injuria have been opened against the man who was pressed down to the ground.
He is accused of causing a collision and using racial slurs.
