Police in the Western Cape are probing a murder-suicide after two bodies were discovered on a farm in Paarl on Tuesday.
A well-known winemaker is alleged to have shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.
It’s understood police were called to the scene after shots altered the neighbours.
A murder case and death inquest have been opened.
“According to information, police responded to the crime scene and found two victims, aged 57 and 61 with gunshot wounds on their bodies,” says provincial police spokesperson, Noloyiso Rwexana.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.”
