Police searching for lion killers

Police in Limpopo are searching for an unknown number of suspects after two lions were killed outside Lephalale.
Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says both the lions were mutilated.

"Both lions were found without their mouths and paws. One of the lions' abdomen was also cut open, but nothing was taken from it," says Ngoepe.
Police also believe the lions were poisoned before they were killed.

Ngoepe says suspects cut the fence around the lion enclosure before poisoning and killing the two lions.
