Gauteng police seized drugs worth R1 million and arrested a 54-year-old suspect in Booysen, south of Johannesburg on Thursday.

The suspect allegedly cooked and sold crystal meth out of his suburban home.
Police spokesperson Kay Makhubele says a suspect was arrested in the early hours of the morning after the police raided the house.
"An intelligence-driven operation, comprising of the national office drug task team, JMPD and other law enforcement agencies led to the drug bust, while the suspect was busy drying crystal meth in preparation to sell.”
Makhubele warns that anti-crime operations will continue throughout the lockdown.
"There is no space for criminals and they must not think lockdown is affecting the police's day-to-day operations.”
The suspect is set to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
