Police yet to charge man who placed dismembered body in a suitcase

Police in East London have yet to charge the
25-year-old who is believed to have murdered a 23-year-old female student from
the University of Fort Hare.
East London police spokesperson, Thembinkosi Kinana says the suspect is expected to appear in an East London court once he is charged.
This comes after police were notified by members of the public of the gruesome scene of a dismembered body in a suitcase on Thursday.
“When they (police) arrived at the scene they witnessed the incident where a young girl was murdered thereafter packed in the suitcase by the suspect,” says Kinana.
“We have already arrested a 25-year-old male who is believed to be linked to the brutal killing of the young woman in East London.”
The motive for the killing is not known at this stage, but police have confirmed that a case of murder has been opened.
