Police search for murderers of Mpumalanga doctor
Police in Mpumalanga are actively investigating the motive behind the fatal shooting of a 34-year-old woman.
The 34-year-old doctor was fatally shot outside a gymnasium in Mbombela on Wednesday morning at about 05h30.
In a statement, police confirmed that they, along with paramedics, responded to a call and discovered the victim outside her vehicle.
Unfortunately, she was declared dead at the scene by medical personnel.
The motive for her killing is unknown at this stage.
“Though circumstances surrounding this tragic incident is still under investigation, preliminary investigation by the Police indicates that the woman was reportedly shot whereby two suspects are being sought by the Police. Currently, no arrest has been made as yet, suspects are still at large,” said Mpumalanga Police spokesperson Donald Mdluli.
The law agencies appeal to anyone with information to come forward.
