The South African Post Office has suspended its mail service to Ukraine, Russia and Belarus
This as Russia’s invasion of its neighbouring country enters a sixth day.
Russian paratroopers land in Ukraine's second city amid heavy fighting. Ukrainian officials say a hospital has been attacked and the barracks of a flight school is on fire after an air strike.
"There are practically no areas left in Kharkiv where an artillery shell has not yet hit," said Interior Minister official Anton
Spokesperson Johan Kruger air mail remains available to 33 countries and surface mail to 51 countries.
"We are unable to dispatch mails items to Russia and Ukraine at this moment so customers should not post any items to these countries, until the situation changes. Customers should visit the post office website for latest updates."
