Power outage in Joburg
Power was disrupted in Johannesburg's northern suburbs on Tuesday morning, because of a tripped line, said City Power.
The line that tripped was from the Kelvin substation in Kempton Park, said spokesman Hloni Motloung.
"The technical team has already begun restoring power to the affected areas. We anticipate that electricity supply will be fully restored within the next three hours."
The areas affected were Rosebank, Melrose, Athol, Inanda, Illovo, Houghton, Killarney, Riviera, Aucklands, Fairways and Waverley.
