Power outage in Joburg West
The western suburbs of Johannesburg has been left in the dark, due to theft and vandalism at the Florida substation in Florida.
City Power says technicians are on site and power should be fully restored in 12 hours.
Affected areas include:
- Fleurhof
- Lea Glen
- Randwater Pump Station
- Florida
- Florida North
- Industria North
- Florida Glen
- Whiteridge
- Bergbron

"City Power encourages residents to report suspicious or fraudulent behaviour in the area to its toll free number 0800 002 587 or SAPS 10111," says City Power spokesperson Yumna Sheik.
