Power outage in the south of Joburg
City Power is currently experiencing a power outage in some parts of the southern suburbs of Johannesburg due to a faulty cable at Mayfair Substation.
"Our technicians are already on site to work on restoring power," City Power spokesperson Hloni Motloung said.
Motloung says technicians have already identified where the fault is.
City Power says it is doing its best to restore the power in affected areas and it expected power to be fully restored soon.
Affected areas include:

· Melville
· Brixton
· Mayfair
· Crown
· Vrededorp
· Vredepark
· Mayfair West
· Crosby
· Amalgam
· Homestead Park
· Noordgesig
· Pennyville
