Pravin Gordhan lawyer: Survé allegations 'nonsensical'
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
The lawyer for Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan has denounced claims made by chairman of Sekunjalo Investment Holdings, Iqbal Survé, on the extent of the minister's influence on financial sector audits.

Survé claims the search-and-seizure operation conducted by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) at Sekunjalo Holdings on Wednesday was primarily fuelled by Gordhan's personal agenda.
However, Gordhan's lawyer Tebogo Malatji says the FSCA is an independent body and the minister has no influence on audits.
"The allegations are outrageous, they have no factual basis, no evidence has been presented there is just what is said.
"The minister has no oversight on who or which entity gets inspected by the financial sector conduct authority."
Survé is alleged to have manipulated the share price of a subsidiary company Ayo, which listed in December 2017.
