Presidency recalls Gordhan, Jonas from international roadshow
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
President Jacob Zuma has instructed Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and his deputy, Mcebisi Jonas, to cancel the international investment promotion roadshow to the United Kingdom and the United States and return to South Africa immediately.

Gordhan and Jonas are currently in London where they planned on meeting with international credit ratings agencies and investors, before heading to the United States.
This has led to renewed speculation of a cabinet reshuffle, following months of reports that the president wants Gordhan removed from the Finance Ministry.
Union federation Fedusa's General Secretary Dennis George says their hope was to meet up with the SA team in London.
George says he is still travelling to London unless the presidency officially communicates otherwise.
"This is something we do annually. The minister and his officials and the social partners go and brief these investors. So, why now come and say this thing has not been approved, because the approval of these things are done as an administrative function and not as a political decision," says George.
