Presidency slams report it sent minister to Botswana to discuss Motsepe-Radebe
The Presidency has slammed reports that State Security Minister Ayanda Dlodlo had been sent to Botswana to discuss that country’s legal spat with Bridgette Motsepe-Radebe.
The Presidency released a statement on Tuesday following a report in online publication Daily Maverick.
Presidency spokesperson Khusela Diko says although Dlodlo was meant to meet with Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi on Tuesday, the meeting was not meant to discuss Motsepe-Radebe.
The meeting between Dlodlo and Masisi was eventually postponed.

"Minister Dlodlo was scheduled to meet with His Excellency President Mokgweetsi Masisi in Gaborone today in her capacity as a special envoy deployed by President Ramaphosa to engage on matters related to the Southern African Customs Union.
"The meeting has since been postponed due to scheduling challenges."
Last week, AfriForum announced that it had been appointed by Botswana's Director of Public Prosecutions Stephen Tiroyakgos to represent it in a high profile money-laundering and fraud case linked to Motsepe-Radebe.
The lobby group believes some $48 million was laundered from the Bank of Botswana via international accounts and distributed to banks in South Africa.
The Botswana government has accused Motsepe-Radebe, who is President Cyril Ramaphosa’s sister-in-law, of stealing the money in order to finance a coup.
