President Cyril Ramaphosa has promised one of the top performing schools in Kwa-Zulu Natal new learning facilities.

Ramaphosa visited Siqongweni School in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday to check on the newly installed bathrooms as part of #SAFEInitiative whose aim is to provide safe sanitation facilities for learners.
While congratulating the pupils, President Ramphosa noted three things that school was missing; a science laboratory, library and computer centre.
"We care for you and we want to make everything possible that is the best for you. It is up to you now to take up this opportunity and use it.
"I look at future doctors, at future engineers, at future scientist, I look at future teachers, I look at future astronauts, I look at future pilots, I look at plumbers, I look at future everything that's the best."

Aberdare Cables will donate a computer centre to the school, while Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga says a mobile science lab would be provided for the pupils.
Ramaphosa emphasised the importance of reading and challenged them to reading one book a month for a year.
"You must read beyond the books you are given at school. The president is going to make sure that you get a library as well because we want you to start reading."
