Updated | By JacarandaFM News
President Jacob Zuma is expected in Vuwani, Limpopo this weekend amid the ongoing shutdown in the area.
Residents are protesting their inclusion in the new municipality with Malamulele.
According to the Presidency, President Zuma will visit Vuwani on Sunday.
"The President will address the public on the decisions that were taken during a meeting convened on 2 May 2017, at the request of His Majesty King Toni Mphephu Ramabulana of Vha-Venda to discuss the situation at Vuwani," says Presidency spokesperson Bongani Ngqulunga.
Ngqulunga says the leaders raised concerns about the deteriorating situation in Vuwani and emphasised that urgent steps needed to be taken to normalise the situation.
Teaching and learning continue to be badly affected, as schools remain closed.
