Police in Limpopo have launched manhunt for an unknown suspect who shot and killed a 38-year-old Roman Catholic church priest in Aquer-Park in Tzaneen on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson, Malesela Ledwaba, says the murder took place in broad daylight, after a public prayer service.
"Initial findings suggest that following a morning prayer session with members of the church, the victim proceeded to the changing room where he was followed by an unknown male suspect. Tragically, the suspect shot the priest twice in the head before fleeing the scene," says Ledwaba.
"The victim was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was tragically pronounced dead upon arrival."
The identity of the priest is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
Limpopo Provincial Commissioner of Police, lieutenant-general Thembi Hadebe, has expressed dismay over the shocking incident.
She has ordered swift investigation into the murder.
The shocking incident took place days after AfriForum released an assessment document for churches to tight security.
