Probe into Durban fire to begin once fire is out: officials

Investigations into what exactly sparked the fire that ravaged a warehouse in Rossburgh will begin once the blaze has been put out.

eThekwini's Chief Fire Commander, Enoch Mchunu, says the fire has been brought under control, but the buidling is still burning.
"For now, we are not thinking about the investigation. We are focussing on controlling the fire and making sure it is completely out," Mchunu said.
Around 150 firefighters took on the blaze after being called out yesterday morning at 10:00.
Burning throughout the night, paramedics say there were no injuries reported overnight.
Yesterday, three people, including two firefighters, were taken to hospital after sustaining burns.
Pietermaritzburg-based relief organisation, Gift of the Givers brought in food and drinks for the firefighting team.
The number of firefighters on scence has meanwhile been reduced to 80.
According to Mchunu, businessess that were forced to evacuate late last night, have been allowed to to continue their activities this morning.
Roads that were closed in the immediate vacinity, have also been reopened.
"There is no immediate danger", said Mchunu.
