'Protesting students wary of media'
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
Protesting students have become wary of the media due to bad coverage of Fees Must Fall protests, says Bishop Paul Verryn.
He was speaking to Jacaranda FM News ahead of a meeting between protesting students, the clergy and AMCU president Joseph Mathunjwa in Johannesburg this afternoon.
Media have been barred from the meeting.
The Bishop says there is huge anxiety from the students around being seen in the media.
Mathunjwa says the narrative that students are hooligans is far from the truth.
He says the meeting will consolidate the students' demands and find a way to take legal action against government.
