Provincial official funeral for Skosana
IFP MP Ben Skosana will be given a provincial official funeral, the presidency said on Friday.
"President Jacob Zuma has declared a provincial official funeral for the late Inkatha Freedom Party Member of Parliament and House Chairperson of the National Assembly," spokesman Mac Maharaj said in a statement.
"The president further instructed that the national flag must be flown at half-mast in the Gauteng province on the day of the funeral."
Skosana, who had been an MP since 1994, would be buried in Vanderbijlpark on Sunday.
Skosana, 66, collapsed and died in Parliament last Tuesday.
