Public outcry mounts over Anele Hoyana's death

Horrific videos depicted the frenzy of violence in which he allegedly ended up beating his sangoma trainer to death with the butt of a rifle.

Tributes continue to pour in for Eastern Cape husband and father, Anele Hoyana as the public outcry over his death mounts.
The 40-year-old was murdered on an East London farm, allegedly by Fritz Joubert, who held his children hostage.
Horrific videos depicted the frenzy of violence in which he allegedly ended up beating his sangoma trainer to death with the butt of a rifle.
It's understood Hoyana, his wife, and their two young children were temporarily living on the Geluksdal property.

Police say an argument broke out between the men, causing Joubert to attack and bludgeon Hoyana to death.
Joubert had also locked the children in his bathroom.
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid)'s Sontaga Seisa says the farmer was later shot dead by officers.
"When the police were trying to sort out the problem, he actually struggled and scuffled with the police officials who ended up shooting him and he died," said ..Seisa, noting that Ipid was investigating the matter.
