Public service unions to picket across the country
Updated | By Makhosazane Twala
Public service unions will embark on lunchtime pickets across the country on Monday.

Cosatu affiliates Nehawu, Denosa and Popcru are among the unions which will picket outside the offices of National Treasury in Pretoria.
The pickets come amid the collapse in wage talks between government and public servants.
Cosatu’s Simon Hlungwani says they are demanding a 10% wage increase across the board, while government is offering 3%
“We remain resolute that we are demanding the 10% increase and on Monday the conciliation will sit. We’re going to be demonstrating in different areas in all provinces across the country.
“We have encouraged our members to demonstrate at workplaces in the form of a picket.
“The outcome of the conciliation will determine what will take place going forward, we are urging government, the employer to come from the conciliation with an offer that will convince us otherwise.”
