Qedani Mahlangu suspended by UK school
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
Former Gauteng Health MEC, Qedani Mahlangu, has been suspended from her studies at The Global Banking School in the UK.
The school says given the severity of the allegations against Mahlangu it had no choice but to suspend her.
The director of policy and planning at the Gauteng health Department, Levy Mosenogi, testified at the Life Esidimeni arbitration hearings that his request to delay the moving of patients from Life Esidimeni was ignored by his superiors.
He also revealed that he acted under Mahlangu's instructions.

Calls for Mahlangu to testify at the Life Esidimeni Arbitrations have led to her being subpoenaed to appear before the hearings on December 6th.
The Democratic Alliance's (DA) Jack Bloom says she is the only person who can explain why the Life Esidimeni contract was cancelled.
"It is imperative that she return as soon as possible to explain her actions to the relatives of the Esidimeni patients who died because of her callous action," says Bloom.
Arbitration chairperson, former Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke, is on the record saying the hearings will not conclude until Mahlangu has testified.
