Radovan Krejcir to be sentenced today

All eyes will be on the South Gauteng High Court on Monday, where convicted Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir and five co-accused will be sentenced for kidnapping, attempted murder and dealing in drugs.
Security at the court is expected to be very tight in the wake of reports of that Krejcir may be planning to escape and also allegedly plotting to assasinate the judge.
Last week, The Star reported on Krejcir’s plot to kill high court Judge Colin Lamont.
Krejcir had allegedly hired a European hitman who had reportedy attempted to visit Krejcir in Kokstad C-Max in December. However, prison authorities did not allow the visits.
The Czech fugitive’s lawyer has complained about not being able to consult with his client owing to to strict security at the prison, where he is being held.
