Rainfall to continue into the weekend

The South African Weather Service has warned of possible localised flooding in some areas due to the persistent rainfall across parts of the country.
Forecaster Wayne Venter says isolated showers is expected in Gauteng on Saturday.
“We have this rainfall that is going to continue for today and for tomorrow. We are still expecting some showers, especially through some parts of KZN as a lot of cooler air moves in.
“Also some very isolated showers are over Gauteng during the course of tomorrow, as well as in Mpumalanga. We do have a possibility of localised flooding in some places especially through the course of today and tomorrow.”
On Friday morning, the Weather Service issued a warning of possible localised flooding.
Areas that could see some flooding include North West, eastern and north-eastern parts of Free State, Gauteng, south-western parts of Limpopo, extreme western parts of Mpumalanga, the western and southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
