Rainy start for the week

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says isolated showers and thundershowers are expected at the start of the week.
SAWS forecaster Lulama Pheme says there is a 30 percent chance of rainfall in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo, with fine conditions in the morning.
“For Monday the weather, you are looking at cool conditions over the Gauteng Province.
“It will be fine in the morning and then we will expect some clouds during the day for Gauteng. There will be some isolated showers and thunder showers that will be later in the afternoon and then it will clear again becoming fine again later in the evening.
“That weather will then be moving more towards the Mpumalanga area in the Highveld area as well as the extreme southern parts of Limpopo. There is a 30% chance of showers and thundershowers.”
Pheme adds that a cold front is expected over the southern parts of the country on Monday.
“There is a cold front at the moment on the west side of the country. A cold front is expected to be on the southern parts of the country on Monday that will lead to thunderstorms.”
