The remainder of the week will continue to see rainy weather, Weather SA said on Tuesday.
Rainy weather is expected to continue throughout the country for the remainder of the week, Weather SA said on Tuesday.
"Low pressure weather conditions approaching South Africa on Wednesday will bring isolated and widespread thundershowers over most of the southern and south-western region," forecaster Jan Vermeulen said.
"Further thunderstorms are also expected over the northern and eastern region."
This will see a drop in temperatures over the western and southern parts of the country from Wednesday.
The cooling will also spread towards the central parts of the country on Thursday.
Rainy conditions were expected to subside in Gauteng and the Free State on Friday, whilst the northern and eastern parts of the country should only expect the rain to stop by Sunday, Vermeulen said.
