ANC deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa has spoken out against gender inequality.

The presidential hopeful addressed a gathering in Soshanguve on Thursday.
As South Africa commemorates Women's Month, the deputy president said the ANC is serious about women empowerment.
"Women of our country are wise workers. The women of our country are determined people and that is why we want to use their wisdom and their capabilities in the economy of our country," Ramaphosa said.
He says women are essential to the growth of the economy.
Ramaphosa believes there must be equal pay between men and women.
"There is no reason why men are paid more than women."
