Ramaphosa says considering proposals ‘to deal with Zuma issue’
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
President Cyril Ramaphosa says various proposals have been made to try and solve the unhappiness over the perceived ill-treatment of former president Jacob Zuma.

Ramaphosa made the remarks while on a visit to KwaMashu, north of Durban on Friday.
The president is assessing the damage caused by this week’s violence and looting in various parts of the province.
The riots were sparked by the jailing of the former president.
The former head of state was convicted and sentenced to 15 months in prison by the Constitutional Court for his refusal to continue his testimony at the commission of inquiry into state capture.
Ramaphosa said he is giving consideration to all the suggestions made by various leaders in KZN.
“The issue of former president Jacob Zuma, yes, our provincial leadership and a number of people have been suggesting that we should look at a variety of measures of dealing with this difficult situation, where the court has made a ruling.
“President Jacob Zuma must be credited and applauded for having complied with what the court did rule and he has to be applauded for that.
“We are giving consideration to all the issues and proposals that are being proposed to us. So, until then, let’s leave the matter where it is,” said Ramaphosa.
