Ramaphosa wants court to seal some documents in Bosasa report
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
President Cyril Ramaphosa’s legal team has requested the high court in Pretoria to seal certain information contained in the record of the public protector’s report on Bosasa.

In the letter of request, Ramaphosa's lawyers suggest that some of the bank statements may have been obtained unlawfully.
Busisiwe Mkhwebane found that Ramaphosa misled Parliament in his response to a question about a R500,000 donation from Bosasa CEO Gavin Watson for his CR17 campaign.
Ramaphosa, through his lawyers, says certain bank statements in Mkhwebane's report contain confidential information belonging to third parties.
The lawyers say it is unclear how Mkhwebane obtained the bank records, therefore request that those documents be protected from public disclosure.
Recently leaked emails from the CR17 campaign revealed Ramaphosa was aware of some of the donations to his campaign despite previous denials.
