Ramaphosa: Young black child, you have a future in farming
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
President Cyril Ramaphosa says government will create opportunities for youth in agriculture.

The president vowed that goverment will intensify it's strategies to create a space for black South Africans to become commercial farmers.
He was the keynote speaker at the African Farmers' Association of South Africa (Afasa) gala event in Kempton Park on Monday evening.
President Ramaphosa applauded members of the association for "challenging some preconceptions about black farmers and changing attitudes throughout society".
He promised the youth of the country that "there is a future in farming, that it is a part of our economy whose potential we have only just begun to explore."
However, the president also had harsh words for those who perceive black famers good enough to only be assistant farmers.
"An equitable distribution of land is at the heart of creating a united and cohesive nation."
