Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
The chairperson of the ANC in Tshwane Kgosientso Ramokgopa has described the local government election results as the lowest moment in the organisation's history.

The leadership in the region briefed the media this afternoon, on ANC losing its majority in the capital.
Ramokgopa has vowed to ensure the party reclaims top spot in 2019.
The regional executive committee is set to meet next week to reflect on the reasons for the poor showing at the polls.
The ANC in Tshwane says they respect the results of elections and will continue to fight to restore the dignity of the people
As the party readies itself to enter the opposition benches in Tshwane, the ANC leadership in the region says they will ensure programmes started under the ANC administration are accelerated.
Ramokgopa said: "If you look at our manifesto, there are 15 areas which require attention. This was going to constitute our mainstream programme, because the expectation was that we were going to be a majority government given the will of the people. However, the electorate decided differently."
He said while party hoped for a victory, all hope is not lost
