Rea Vaya buses suspended due to labour dispute
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The management of Johannesburg rapid bus service Rea Vaya has suspended all its bus operations following a labour dispute.

The suspension left hundreds of commuters stranded this morning.
Protesting workers blocked the entrances at the depot preventing buses from leaving.
The company PioTrans, which operates the service in partnership with the City of Johannesburg, was placed under business rescue in December last year.
The company was marred by allegations of maladministration due to alleged unpaid debts.
Spokesperson Benny Makgoka says workers have disputes with the company.
"Rea Vaya Passengers are informed that buses are not operating today due to labour-related issues between Piotrans and its employees. "
"The exit point of the depot has been blocked and all buses cannot operate. We apologize and advise passengers to use alternative transport."
