Reeva Steenkamp's family releases press statement

The family of Reeva Steenkamp have released a statement requesting the media not to contact them directly.

 

The Steenkamps have thanked members of the general public and media who displayed restraint during what was meant to be their daughters 30th birthday, but instead turned out to be a court appearance marking her untimely death.

 

The family have requested to be respected during their time of mourning saying they have decided to mantain a dignified silence during this time .

 

The family also requests that friends and acquaintances of Reeva also act in a restrained and dignified manner in her memory saying that  "It is the least that she deserves."
