Minister in the Presidency Trevor Manuel delivered a few poems written by the late ANC stalwart Reginald September during his funeral on Saturday.

Minister in the Presidency Trevor Manuel delivered a few poems written by the late ANC stalwart Reginald September during his funeral on Saturday.
September, died in Cape Town last Friday at the age of 90.
His funeral, held at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens was attended by former president Thabo Mbeki, President Jacob Zuma and several other cabinet ministers.
The funeral programme was directed by Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane.
Renowned jazz musician Jonas Gwangwa and the police band played a few musical items.
September was one of the first non-African people to be elected onto the ANC’s executive. He also served as a member of parliament.
He is survived by his wife, four children and 12 grandchildren.
