The Weather Service is forecasting evening thunderstorms over the interior of South Africa from Saturday afternoon

Gauteng: Morning fog patches in the south east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with isolated evening thunderstorms.

Mpumalanga: Cloudy in the east with light rain and morning fog patches in places at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool with isolated thundershowers in the highveld.

Limpopo: Cloudy in the east and Limpopo Valley with light rain in places, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.

North West: Fine and cool, but warm in places, becoming partly cloudy in the central and eastern parts with isolated afternoon thunderstorms.

Northern Cape: Warm in the north, otherwise fine and cool to warm, but cold in places in the south with morning frost over the southern interior. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly.

Western Cape: Warm along the west-coast and adjacent interior, otherwise fine and cool, but cold along the south-coast where it will be cloudy to partly cloudy. Morning frost can be expecetd in places over the interior.

The wind along the coast will be light southerly to south-easterly in the south, but fresh to strong in the west.

KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with isolated afternoon and evening showers in the extreme west and north. The wind along the coast will be light westerly at first becoming moderate to fresh north-easterly later.
