Road closures for Joost Memorial
Streets will be closed for the public memorial service for Joost van der Westhuizen from 10.00am.
Van der Westhuizen passed away on Monday following a long battle with Motor Neuron Disease.
Tshwane Metro Police spokesperson Isaac Mahamba says the roads around Loftus Versfeld Stadium - where the memorial will take place - will be closed.
"The streets that will be affected are Kirkness and Park Streets, Lynnwood Road, Farenden Street and Bond Street," says Mahamba.
Mahamba says Metro Police will assist traffic.
"We will close the streets from 10.00am until 3.00pm. We advise motorists to use alternative routes," says Mahamba.
Sport Minister Fikile Mbalula, as well as 95 World Cup winning team captain Francois Pienaar are expected to address family and rugby supporters.
