An armed gang robbed residents of an old-age home in Despatch, Eastern Cape police said on Wednesday.
The four entered the premises through a window on Tuesday, tied workers up and robbed elderly residents of valuables such as cellphones and bank cards before fleeing, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart said.
"The suspects took the motor vehicle keys of one of the workers... and drove off with it from the scene," she said.
Police appealed to the public for any information that would lead to the arrest of the robbers.
