Robbery at Office of Chief Justice, important information stolen
15 computers containing important information was stolen during a break-in at the Offices of the Chief Justice in Midrand this morning.
According to the OCJ, the computers were taken from the human resources department during the early hours of this morning.
"These computers contain important information about the judges and the officials of the OCJ," says spokesperson Nathi Mncube, adding, "it's all the judges in the country."
The incident comes less than 24 hours after the Constitutional Court extended the current contract between the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) and Cash Paymaster Services (CPS) to pay out 17 million grants.
Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng has called on police to do everything in their power to bring the suspects to book.
Police have so far not been available for comment.
