Updated | By Martine van der Walt Ehlers
Popular sports presenter Robert Marawa has revealed that he
had recently suffered a third heart attack.

In a video that he posted on Twitter, Marawa explains that he spent a whole week in ICU.
Marawa says that he drove himself to hospital last week after feeling unwell and that he was admitted to ICU a few hours later.
He remains in the recovery ward of an undisclosed hospital.
"It's been an unbelievable last couple of days ... on the brink between life and not living," Marawa said.
Marawa has thanked the doctors and medical assistants at the hospital.
"The general staff, the people who are here to ensure our health have been outstanding...some of the best doctors and cardiologists are here.
"I just want to take my hat off to everyone who has been of assistance.”
I thought I'd bring myself out of the dark hole where I've been for the past 2 weeks that's caused my absence from Radio #MSW & give u a summarized overview as I begin to heal. #cardiovascularhealth#bloodclots #recovery pic.twitter.com/nMYjDDb3wW

He also thanked his supporters and called on his followers to go for regular check-ups.
"We don't do this to report to people and make it a public thing. A health journey is a personal journey, but I've always made it public that we need to get our numbers checked.
"I've always made it a public thing that I've had my heart attacks. I need to get back into a regular fitness regime.”
Marawa said doctors were still trying to find out if he had a blood clot that was contributing to the repeated problems.
The 46-year-old broadcaster has suffered two previous heart attacks.
