Ronnie Mamoepa to be laid to rest

Ronnie Mamoepa will be laid to rest in Pretoria this morning.
The late government spokesperson died last Saturday following complications arising from a stroke he suffered last month.
President Jacob Zuma will attend the funeral, while deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the eulogy.
Fellow Robben Islander Mpho Masemola says Mamoepa was a man of high moral standing.
"He was a highly disciplined comrade who passed through the eye of the needle. How many of those that are in the struggle currently, have passed through the eye of the needle," he asks.
Masemola fondly recalls Mamoepa.
"He used to play tennis. He was playing very well with Kgalema Motlanthe and other comrades."
Scores of dignitaries have arrived at the St Alban's Cathedral to pay their last respects.
