Gauteng
police have arrested five suspects for being in possession of drugs to the
value of R200 000… and a crocodile.
Gauteng police’s Mavela Masondo says officers pounced on an alleged drug syndicate in the area on Thursday.
“The police received information about suspected drug dealing in the area and proceeded to the identified location in Roodepoort, not far from two local schools.
“The members conducted a search of the premises and recovered various types of narcotics which include hydrophonic dagga, dagga trees and edible narcotics. Furthermore, a crocodile was also found on the premises. SPCA was called to handle the reptile,” says Masondo.
Police also recovered two toy guns.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
