Roodepoort power expected back on Monday - City Power

City Power hopes to have electricity supply to Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg, fully restored on Monday.

Several areas have been without power after a fire broke out at the Robertsville substation on Saturday morning.
The blaze left Robertville, Wibsey Dip, Stormhill, and Putcoton suburbs without power.
Spokesperson Isaac Mangena says the repairs were delayed by rain.
“The teams have worked overnight to ensure that we do repairs of the burnt infrastructure, one transformer has been repaired on-site and tested positively on Sunday morning.
“There is work to bring a new transformer on-site and we hope that the repairs will be on Sunday evening and power will be restored on Monday as planned. This place is an industrial area and we really apologise to the customers. The cause and the cost of the fire is being investigated.”
