Rosettenville residents point fingers at police
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
Angry Rosettenville residents have blamed police inaction for the crime, prostitution and drug scourge in the area.

Several properties were vandalised and property set alight when residents took the law into their own hands yesterday.
The City of Joburg has vowed to restore law and order in the area.
While locals welcomed news of the raids, some foreign nationals in the area believe this is just another way for corrupt cops to take advantage of innocent people.
The City of Joburg's Tony Taverna-Turisan says Mayor Herman Mashaba is alarmed at the allegations made against the police and will request an investigation.
"The community were alleging that there were actually police officers that would frequent these brothels and that is wholly unacceptable. Our communities need to trust our law enforcement officers to know that they have got their best interests at heart," says Taverna-Turisan.
