Fellow musician, Majozi, says his best memory of Glegg is when he opened for him in Durban.

Majozi says Glegg had the power of bringing people from all backgrounds together.

"There was one point in the set where he started singing Impi, and I promise you, that place erupted like I have never seen in my life. And it made me realise the power of music, the power of a song," says Majozi.

Watch Glegg perform Impi live in Cape Town:

Singer Francois van Coke says he has been a fan of Clegg for as long as he can remember and had the privilege of performing with the legendary artist.

Van Coke says what took him by surprise was Clegg's humility.

"He had a caring nature, he took an interest in my life, in family and that I will never forge," says Van Coke.

Watch Glegg perform Great Heart:

Musician, Arno Carstens, says the first rock show he ever saw was a performance by Glegg in the Worcester town hall - at the end of apartheid.

"We were white kids dancing on one side and blacks' kids dancing on one side, and eventually, we were all dancing together," says Carstens.

Listen below:

Artist Claire Johnstone has described Glegg as the lifeblood of South Africa and a massive inspiration to fellow musicians and South Africans.

Johnstone adds Glegg will always be with us through his music and has played his role to change things in the country for the better.

"I'm sorry for his family, his friends, South African and the rest of the world," says Johnstone.
