In a statement, Bell Pottinger admits its social media campaign highlighting economic emancipation was "inappropriate and offensive".

Bell Pottinger says it stopped all work for Gupta-owned Oakbay Capital three months ago.

It follows increasingly strong social media attacks on its staff and South African business.

People took to social media, with many saying an apology is simply not enough.
