SA vaccinates 100k health workers, targets 1 million by the end of March

The Minister of Health, Zweli Mkhiz urged the public to be patient in awaiting their turn for the vaccine.
The Minister of Health, Zweli Mkhize says the first 100 000 health care workers have been vaccinated.
"The number of health care workers vaccinated under the Sisonke Protocol is 100 180 as of 6.30 pm 5 March 2021," said Mkhize in his daily Covid-19 update on Friday night.
Mkhize is optimistic that government is faring well in the vaccination drive.
"The first million health workers should actually have their first jabs in March," he said this week.
Mkhize urged the public to be patient in awaiting their turn for the vaccine.

"The vaccines will come for all South Africans," he reiterated, saying that the drive to administer jabs to the public would start in April.
