SA won't be at back of queue when Covid-19 vaccine is rolled out, says African Alliance
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Local NGO African Alliance believes South Africa will not be at the back of the queue when a Covid-19 vaccinebecomes a reality.

This comes as the country’s third and latest vaccine trial was launched on Monday.
Head of the NGO, and founding member of the Vaccine Advocacy Council Tian Johnson, says in the past Africa has had to wait too long to receive medicines and vaccines.

“South Africa's newest Covid-19 vaccine trial is another crucial step in ensuring a future vaccine works for South Africans and should be commended.”
South Africa is one of nine countries, including the United States, Argentina and Mexico, which will test the vaccine.
The country’s trial follows earlier studies in the US and Belgium that showed the vaccine was safe to use.
