SABC executive survives assassination attempt
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The South African Broadcasting Corporation’s (SABC) chief audit executive, Thami Zikode, survived an attempted assassination on Friday evening.

Gunmen fired several shots at Zikode while he was on his way home from the public broadcaster’s headquarters in Auckland Park.
Spokesperson Vuyo Mthembu says Zikode is rattled but has vowed to continue his work.
“The matter is being handled by the police for further investigation.”
The motive behind the attack is yet to be determined. The SABC says it will provide psychological support to Zikode.
